Working Hard

There isn't a whole lot to say about this week. We've been working hard, going from appointment to appointment and trying to use our time as effectively as possible. We have been meeting with Amber, and that's pretty exciting. We met Amber at the park last Sunday and {shame on me} I didn't think she would be interested. I really shouldn't judge that quickly and let others decide for themselves if they want the gospel. The Lord has taught me this simple yet powerful lesson through Amber. She is truly amazing and is already aligning herself with the Lord. I am so thankful for the opportunity to be an instrument in the Lord's hands in bringing others closer to Him.

President Hanks has challenged us to get 500 baptisms as a mission by the end of the year. Right now we are at 365! In Zone Training last week we set a goal as a zone to get 8 baptisms this month. Florence District {my district} has 7 baptismal dates set at the moment. If all goes according to plan, we will succeed our goal for our zone consisting of three districts with just are district. The Lord is working mighty miracles through us!!

We watched all four sessions of Conference at the church building with our investigators. I'm appreciating General Conference more and more each year, but it was so special this year. Saturday we had Lynn for both sessions and it was so great to feel the Spirit and to see her reaction. She absolutely loved it. Sunday morning we had Lynn and her husband Joe as well as Amber, who also stayed for the second session. We told all of them to come with a question in mind and promised that it would be answered. It was so sweet because we could tell when Amber received her answer. I can tell that she already notices the difference the gospel brings into our lives. I haven't seen any baptisms yet, but we have three coming up. Lynn and Joe are set for the 18th of October and Amber has decided on the 25th. We're so excited for the changes they want to make in their lives.
