What good will a covenant do if you don't uphold your end?
A covenant is a sacred agreement between God and a person or group of people. God sets specific conditions, and He promises to bless us as we obey those conditions.
We have many names we are called by on this Earth. Mother, Father, Sister, Brother, Teacher, Friend, etc. The most important name we are called is child of God. Committed children of the covenant push forward no matter what. The greatest compliment that can be received in this life is to be known as a covenant keeper. As we keep the covenants and commandments of the Lord we will grow in confidence.
I can see the blessings that come from being a covenant keeper. They aren't always big. In fact, most often the blessings are small and you would miss them if you weren't paying attention. There is an added strength that comes from keeping your part of the promise. Heavenly Father blesses you through your trials as you faithfully serve Him and endure what is placed before you. Either He will take that burden from you, or He will strengthen your back to be able to bear the load.
